.25 Cents a Day
Most of us had grandmothers that saved spare change in a mason jar, cookie jar, etc. This was her savings account. We are starting a "Jar Savings Account" for all in-kind donations for 4, My Kids, Inc. Our vision is about .25 cents and what would do with it if you had .25 cents today. One example given was amazing; the person would put it in the collection plate at church and pray for more. If you would like to read more about this concept, go to the 4,My Kids, Blog and search for If you had .25 cents....
Our "Jar Savings Account" is an extension of what we are doing with 4, My Kids, Inc. We are encouraging people to donate any type of donation that they feel in their hearts to give. The original concept for 4, My Kids, Inc. is giving; understanding that the power of the gift without anything in return is grand in the eyes of the receiver. The "Jar Savings Accout" is an extension of that.
The savings account will be used to help eliminate debt and provide educational funding for all participants. It is time to get past the ME stage and help others. The bible tells us to help God's children, especially the poor. Let us start a savings account for families that need help. Twenty Five cents a day will help anyone!!!
Deuteronomy 15:3-5 (New International Version)
3 You may require payment from a foreigner, but you must cancel any debt your brother owes you. 4 However, there should be no poor among you, for in the land the LORD your God is giving you to possess as your inheritance, he will richly bless you, 5 if only you fully obey the LORD your God and are careful to follow all these commands I am giving you today.
